At Bower Primary School we aim to create a safe, happy, working environment, which promotes healthy living and is satisfying and productive for all pupils and staff.  We will keep parents informed of children’s progress and recognise parents as active partners who have a valuable contribution to make to their children’s education.  We have an active and supportive PTA.

Bower Primary School, constructed in 1976, is a two-teacher school.  At present there are 22 pupils on the roll. Miss Sinclair takes the P1-3 children while the Mrs Moodie, teaches the P4-7 pupils.  Mrs Christine Sutherland is the Cluster Headteacher for Bower School and Crossroads School, she splits her time equally between both premises.

There are two classrooms and a general-purpose room, which is used for physical education, music, watching television programmes and as a dining room.  Separate infant cloakrooms and toilets are provided.

A tarmac play area and a large grassy field for games surround the building.  A recently developed garden area provides excellent opportunities for Environmental Studies.
