Senior pupils and teachers are invited to participate in the European Business Game. The project runs from September to the following April and culminates in with the European final meeting held at the end of June. At the Highland Final teams are invited to present their Business Plan to a panel of judges drawn from the Highland business community. The winning team gains the opportunity to represent the Highlands at the European finals.
Highland school teams have a tradition of success at the European Final. Teams from Golspie High School, Inverness High School, Kingussie High School, Fortrose Academy and Ullapool High School have all won the European event in competition with teams from throughout Europe including the Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Denmark, England, and the Faroe Islands.
In 2007, the Highlands had the honour of hosting the International Final. Teams from Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland spent a week in Inverness visiting various locations and meeting young Highland entrepreneurs. The Highlands were represented by a team from Fortrose Academy, who went on to win the competition, hosted by the Council at its Headquarters in Inverness.
This year, the final will be in Bolzano, Italy, at the beginning of June. If you are interested in taking part, please contact:
