Highland Film Commission (HFC)
The Highlands of Scotland Film Commission (HFC) is an established and integral part of the UK film and television industry; production companies consider it normal practice to liaise with national and regional film commissions when considering a particular area for film, television or commercial work.
The HFC maintains several online databases to offer advice and information on location filming, locally based skills and services, accommodation and logistics.
The HFC is a unit within the Highland Council’s Planning and Development department and it supports the aims of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA), to create sustainable economic and social growth through film production. The work of the HFC contributes towards the Highland Council’s Single Outcome Agreements.
