Civic Government Licensing
The Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 makes provision for the licensing and regulation of certain activities.
Licences are issued and enforced for a wide range of functions. The application forms, guidance notes and conditions of licence are available to download in Word (Application forms only) or PDF format on the pages linked below.
A list of the application fees for each licence category can be found opposite.
Officers responsible for Civic Government Licensing seek to protect the public by ensuring that all applications are carefully considered and that appropriate consultations are undertaken before any licences are issued. Once a licence has been issued Council officers have a further responsibility to monitor and enforce the conditions attached to the licence.
The form can be completed and then returned to your local Chief Executive's Office OR your local Highland Council Service Point, with the appropriate fee.
