Service Statement
Property & Architectural Services aim to provide a comprehensive, cost-effective, property service, determined by the needs of our clients, which reflects the unique character of the Highland community and environment.

Service Information
Property and Architectural Services are the property and construction professionals within The Highland Council, providing a comprehensive range of services to both internal and external clients.

The Service is responsible for the strategic and operational management of a large property portfolio comprising 3,850 buildings, with an asset value of £750 million, over a 10,000 square mile area.

The Service is also responsible for the provision of architecture, quantity surveying, building service engineering and maintenance services and these personnel, together with their clerks of works and building services inspectors, are co-ordinated using integrated management techniques.

In addition to the Service’s traditional activities, staff also provide a wide range of specialist services including project management, asset valuation, contract monitoring, planning supervisory duties and energy advice.
