Services to Children and Families
We are committed to giving every child and young person in Highland the best possible start in life. Helping our children to realise their potential is the key to giving them a sense of self-fulfilment and equipping them well for their future. Social Work Services work with families and partner agencies, to help ensure that Highland's children are: safe, nurtured; healthy; achieving; active; respected & responsible, and included.
Many of us need information, advice, or support at some times in our lives. Social Work Services can provide support and intervention with children and families who have assessed needs. In particular, we can: assess your child’s needs and your needs; provide support services or other interventions; make Fostering and Adoption arrangements; and take effective steps to keep children safe.
We aim to act promptly to requests for information and help, and to be as flexible as possible in their response. Wherever possible we seek to provide services locally.
If you have concerns about the welfare or safety of a child, you should contact your local Social Work office, call (01463) 703488, or email.
