Your new Highland Council website

Users of our website are seeing a fresh new look and experiencing greatly improved on-line services. We are working with a new supplier, Jadu, to make it easier for customers to find information and book or pay for services.

Focus on information and services for the customer

The new website has been designed using industry best practice to develop the site’s content.  New design compatibility now allows you to access the site more effectively with mobile devices.

Our project team has worked closely with council services to create content that allows customers to find information and access online services more easily. There are currently 28 services that can be accessed by online forms.

Future improvements

There is a programme of work in place to continue to bring more services online and to make the forms also work on mobile devices. Over the coming weeks we will monitor the introduction of the new website and identify and resolve any potential  issues and problems that may arise from transferring information from the old site to the new.

Working to empower communities

The introduction of the new website meets our commitments in the 2012 - 2017 Programme to work together to empower communities which includes:

  • Increasing the number of issues resolved at first contact  
  • Developing further options for members, customers and employees to conduct council business online
