Community learning
Community Learning and Development (CLD), which is part of the Education, Culture and Sport service, is committed to helping young people and adults to achieve through learning. The service also helps groups involved in community planning to develop the skills necessary to work towards what they wish to achieve which could be anything from:
- Securing grants to develop new projects in their communities
- Trying to deal with community issues
- Forming interest groups in communities - etc.
Community learning is a dynamic service that aims to help local people to take more control of their own learning and leisure as well what is happening in their own communities.
