Associate Membership
Highland Council is an Associate Member of the Mountaineering Council of Scotland.
One of the main benefits of this membership is that employees can join the MC of S at the concessionary rate of £15.85, the standard rate is £27.30 (Sept 2008).
In addition the above, employees who choose to join the MC of S at the same time as registering with Mountain Leader Training Scotland (MLTS), prior to attending one of the following courses, will receive a further discount to their MC of S membership fee, paying £13.75.
If you choose to register online with MLTS, when you scroll down to the Scheme Registration section where it says; Membership of a Mountaineering Council is a mandatory requirement of registration for SPA, WGL and ML, put a check in the £13.75 unemployed/student rate box.
If you are not intending to register with MLTS, but want to join the MC of S, go to the application form for further information.
When you get to the MC of S application form, if you are joining as an individual member, check the £15.85 line that says;
