This course is designed to inspire you to take young people and adults into the great outdoors, to feel confident in the exploration, discovery and conservation of our wild and natural places.

Adventurous Activity - National Governing Body (NGB) Training and Assessment Courses
Adventure activities play a significant part in assisting our staff deliver the Four Capacities, Physical Education and the Curriculum for Excellence through Outdoor Learning.
The standard measure of competency to deliver adventurous activities safely is for the provider to have been trained and assessed by a National Governing Body (NGB).
High Life Highland's Outdoor Education Unit can cover the course fees for High Life Highland and Highland Council's Education Culture and Sport staff attend National Governing Body (NGB) training and assessment courses at Glenmore Lodge, one of Scotland’s national training centres, and also with other providers. The funding is for the course fee, all other associated costs have to be met by the individual.

Sportsmatch
Sportsmatch is an award scheme that supports grass roots sport projects that encourage participation at community level, especially youth groups.
In Scotland, Sportsmatch is funded by the Scottish Executive and administered by sportscotland.
Sportsmatch matches commercial business sponsorship on a £ for £ basis
Any not-for-profit group such as a sports club, local authority, governing body of sport, school etc. can apply.
We match sponsorship fees on a £ for £ basis. Although applicants are expected to be from not-for-profit groups, sponsors can come from any profit-distributing business, whether a bank, restaurant or local jeweller.
You can have at most 3 sponsors per project, each contributing at least £500.
Sponsorship can last between 1 and 3 years for any one project.
Sponsorship can be in cash or in kind with regards sporting equipment.
