How we can help

How we can help

  • We work with your parents or carers, teachers and other people who know you, to look at what kind of help you need. We only do this when we have your parents' or carers' permission.
  • Often we will help you find your own solutions to difficulties. Sometimes this can be at a meeting and your parents or carers, teachers and other professionals might also be at the meeting.
  • Sometimes we will chat with you or do some special work with you. Parents and teachers will probably talk to you about this before you meet the Psychologist for your school. They will explain how we might help you and the people who work with you. We also might come into your class for a bit. This will help us to find out more about you and how to help you.
  •  At times we work with a group of pupils or a whole class about things like friendships.
