Confidentiality
The Psychologist usually likes to talk to the other people who are working with you and will check with you that it’s OK to tell. However, you have a right to confidentiality and so you can tell the Psychologist if there is something you do not wish to be shared. The only time the Psychologist is not able to keep something confidential is if it is something very serious that adults need to know about to keep someone safe.
Your Opinions and Ideas Matter
You have a right to say what you think and to be listened to when decisions are being made. Your views and questions are very important - it will be easier for us to help you and the people who work with you if we know what you think.
The Psychologist may write a letter or a report and you can ask to see this.
