The consultation by Highland Council ran from Monday 3 September 2012 to Wednesday 31 October 2012. A meeting was held at 6.30pm, Thursday 27 September 2012 at Kyleakin Village Hall, Kyleakin, IV41 8PH.

Wick - Primary Schools Consultation
The Highland Council carried out the following consultation under the terms of the Schools (consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010:
- Proposal to amalgamate Hillhead Primary School and North Primary School in a new school on the site of existing North Primary School.
- Proposal to amalgamate Pulteneytown Academy Primary School and South Primary School in a new school to be incorporated within a 3-18 campus on the Wick High School site.
