Obsdale Primary School , at the east end of Alness, is the town’s smallest primary school. The school’s positive ethos, promotes a ‘can do’ philosophy to skill and challenge the children to enjoy doing their best, within a stimulating learning environment. An active home school partnership is promoted. The school’s roll fluctuates around 90 pupils, in 4 mixed stage classes. Children with specific needs are integrated within mainstream classes and are supported by additional teacher/ support auxiliary/classroom assistant, as needs dictate.
The nursery has two daily sessions with around 15 children in each. This includes an integrated unit for children with language and communication difficulties, supported by an additional nursery assistant, teacher and Speech and Language Therapist.
