Gairloch High School provides 6-year comprehensive secondary education to pupils living within the area bounded by Laide in the north, Kinlochewe to the east and Shieldaig to the south. The school currently has a pupil roll of approximately 185 pupils.
We aim to provide each pupil the opportunity to participate in a wide range of learning opportunities. This is offered within an atmosphere of self-discipline, respect and responsibility. Good staff pupil ratios allow for a high standard of support and associated success for pupils.
The ‘new’ school was opened in 1994 and is held in high regard by staff, pupils, parents and the community. We share the building with the library, leisure centre and community education making us a focal point for the wider community.
