Shieldaig Primary School is a small, rural school situated on the North West coast of Scotland. The building nestles below the towering mountains of the North West Highlands and overlooks Loch Torridon and Shieldaig Island.
The area served by the school includes the village of Shieldaig and the area from Balgy to Cuaig along Loch Torridon. Our school plays an active part in the community.
The school includes a nursery section and our total roll at present is eight children, five in school and three in nursery. The staff includes one full time teacher, a visiting music teacher, a visiting P.E. teacher one part time auxiliary and a classroom assistant. We have an active P.T.A. and School Board.
We aim to work in partnership with families and the community to meet the needs of every child in our care. We use a variety of learning and teaching approaches to guide children through a broad balanced curriculum, valuing their achievements and celebrating their successes.
