Cannich Bridge Primary School is a rural school situated in a very beautiful and scenic area unique for its flora and fauna.  This environment is easily accessible to pupils and is used regularly to cover various aspects of the curriculum.  The school was opened originally in 1882 and was totally refurbished in 1992.  The accommodation now comprises two classrooms, a general purpose room where the computer suite is set up, a kitchen and a dining room.

The nursery meets in a demountable unit in the school playground and caters for both 3 and 4 year olds, operating for five mornings per week from 9.00 am to 11.30 am.

The school roll, at present, stands at 28 comprising of 14 in P1 – P3 and 14 in P4 – P7.   There are 12 children in the nursery.  In this small school there is a close, caring relationship between pupils and between pupils and staff making this a happy environment in which to learn and work.  Morale is high and pupils have positive attitudes towards achievement, attendance and good behaviour.  The school has strong links with parents and the wider community.
