Durness Primary School provides its pupils with a stimulating learning environment which is supported by an ethos of encouraging achievement and celebrating success. We actively promote partnership between home, school and the wider community and have an active and supportive Parent Forum and Council. There are currently 24 pupils in P1-7 and the school has a teaching Headteacher and one other teacher. All the pupils benefit from weekly input of specialist teachers in Support for Learning, PE, music and art. Using the local environement features highly in the wider curriculumn of the school and the school maintains a cottage on Eriboll Estate as a base for outdoor education. Nursery education is provided in the school building by Highland Pre-school Services.
