Mallaig High School Residence, Osdail Ard Sgoil Mhalaig, is one of five branches of Highland Council School Care Accommodation. Margaret Anne Beaton is the Residence Manager of all branches.

The residence caters for pupils who attend Mallaig High School, Ard Sgoil Mhalaig, but who reside in areas where travelling to and from school on a daily basis would be unreasonable. Currently we have pupils from the Small Isles and the Knoydart Peninsula.

The residence is a new, purpose built unit on three levels with en suite single and twin rooms which can accommodate 19 pupils. The roll for 2011-2012 is expected to be 14 pupils. The residence has living and recreational facilities as well as a small kitchen area for snack making. It is set in the Mallaig High School Campus.

Given that the residence is a second home to pupils during term time, we aim to work in partnership with parents, pupils and the school in making residence life a good experience for everyone. Good communication with home is essential and parents and family members are welcome to visit the residence at any time. The Residence Officer also liaises with Pupil Support staff at the High School.
