Eigg Primary School provides its pupils with a stimulating learning environment, which makes full use of the rich learning environment that our island provides. We actively promote partnership between the school, home and the wider community, including the other Small Isles schools and Inverie. The school has a supportive ethos that encourages achievement and celebrates success, encouraging children to become independent and confident. The school currently has six children, from P1 to P7, with two children in the nursery.
Associated secondary school:
- Mallaig High School A hostel will shortly be built to house the children during the week, with them going home at weekends. Until then, the children live with local families.
Key Features:
The school has recently undergone considerable refurbishment, with the provision of a new nursery, office and community learning centre. The school is currently working towards being awarded its Green Flag as an Eco-School.
