At Drakies Primary School we aim to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which the potential of all pupils will be developed. We are concerned with the ‘all round’ development of pupils and foster an ethos of celebrating achievement and success both in and out of school. We promote partnership with parents, outside agencies and the wider community and have an active and supportive Parents Association.
There are presently 16 primary classes in the school with a school roll of 210 pupils. We presently have 20 teaching staff. We cater for a number of pupils with additional needs who are supported by Additional Needs Teachers and Auxiliary staff. From August 2007 a number of our pupils will transfer to the new Inshes Primary School and we start the new session with 9 classes. In August 2008 we will have nursery provision established at the school.
