Cawdor Primary is a friendly and busy school where we aim to give our children a stimulating learning environment in which to gain knowledge, skills and experiences for life-long learning. There is a positive ethos of encouragement and success, be it in or out of school, is celebrated. We expect much from the pupils and are very proud of all who attend the school.
At Cawdor we consider ourselves privileged to enjoy very strong support, interest and co-operation from the homes in our community and we aim to foster these links. Presently we have a very active Parents Association called CASH (Cawdor Association of School Helpers) and an equally active School Board.
There are presently 5 classes in the school which are additionally supported by teachers in ICT, P.E., Music and Support for Learning. There are currently 111 pupils on the roll with a further 13 pupils in the Nursery.
If you require further information, or a copy of our Handbook, please do not hesitate to call.
Associated Secondary School:
In August 2007 we will be moving to a new PPP2 building. While we intend to take with us the spirit of a 152 year old school, we look forward with great excitement to the amazing facilities of this twenty-first century school.
Six classrooms will surround an open area along with a Pupil Base and Support for Learning room. Chalk boards are replaced with whiteboards and the latest computer technology is throughout.
In addition the school has a purpose built Nursery and enclosed play area, a large and well equipped gym hall, a separate dinner hall and kitchen, meeting room, medical room, modern cloaks and showers. The playground is a secure area made up of hard standing, playing field, seated area and garden.
An exciting and well deserved future for our pupils here at Cawdor!
