Plockton Primary School provides education for 41 pupils in both English and Gaelic medium education. It has three classes and a Gaelic medium nursery. It is based around a historic nineteenth century building also having two separate teaching buildings and combined canteen/gym hall. It is a very rare survivor in the modern age of a village school set in the heart of its community. The school is very actively involved in the community and takes part in a wide range of arts and community events. There is a good range of out of school sports clubs. The school may have a historical appearance but it embraces modern methods and technologies including use of computers in all classes and video-conferencing on-site.
