Staffin school serves Staffin and the surrounding villages. The area is mainly croftland.
There are presently 4 classes in the school and a Nursery which was purpose built. (3 classes are in Gaelic medium.) The school roll at present is 60 pupils with 38 in Gaelic Medium, 15 in English Medium and 7 in Nursery. The Nursery is also in Gaelic Medium and has two members of staff with 5 morning sessions for children aged 3-5 years.
The school has its own gym hall/dining hall with kitchen.
A respite unit to support families with additional support needs is based in the restructured school house and offers a range of facilities.
