Special and Denominational Schools

Special Schools

Most children with special educational needs are educated within mainstream schools.   However, there are three schools in Highland which cater for children with additional support needs.   These are:

• Drummond School in Inverness
• St Clement's School in Dingwall
• St Duthus School in Tain

There are also a number of centres for pupils with social, emotional or behavioural needs.

• Black Isle Education Centre, Raddery

Denominational Schools

There are four denominational schools in Highland:

• Bishop Eden's Primary School in Inverness (Episcopal)
• St Joseph's Primary School in Inverness (Roman Catholic)
• Fort William RC Primary School
• Lochyside RC Primary School also in Fort William
