Bishop Eden’s Primary School is a denominational one, with the buildings being owned by St. Andrew’s Cathedral. The Cathedral Authorities are responsible for the external fabric of the building. The school curriculum is no different from that in any other primary school and a general course of religious education is followed, but with reference, as appropriate, to the beliefs and practices of the Episcopal Church. Much more important than any denominational emphasis is the Christian basis of the whole life of the School. This basis is demonstrated through the curriculum for excellence in developing the four capabilities for each individual in becoming;
- Successful learners
- Effective contributors
- Responsible citizens
- Confident individuals
Bishop Eden’s School does not have a catchment area and placing requests for all pupils are made in writing to the Area Education Manager. At present there are three classes with a total of 62 pupils on the role.
Associated Secondary School:
Transfer to Inverness High School is again by placement if pupils live outside of the catchment area.
Key Features:
Bishop Eden’s School works closely with the Cathedral and local communities and key features include:
- Friends of Bishop Eden’s
