The new building was completed in June 2008 . The School has been purpose built to meet the challenge of a very wide spectrum of pupil need.

The school has its own swimming pool and hydrotherapy pool as well as multi sensory and Soft play rooms. The classrooms are light, airy with facilities for hoisting and for pupils to “chill out” if the need arises. Corridors are wide allowing for maximum use by all pupils. The specialist classrooms are extremely well appointed as it the Post 16 Flat, where pupils can learn to develop true life skills. The building sits in lovely grounds and is safe and secure for all the pupils.

Drummond school caters for pupils with Additional Support Needs and currently has 86 pupils. There is provision within the school for Nursery, Primary and Secondary education.

Key Features:

  • The school is truly child centred
  • The school has 16 classes of approx 4-6 pupils
  • There are 4 specialist departments [Music, Art, P.E. and H.E.]
  • There is a high staff to pupil ratio to support pupils in their educational setting
  • All pupils have IEPs and some have CSPs.
