Headteacher: Ms Lesley Muir (Acting)
Situated in a remote, coastal, crofting community 25 miles North West of Ullapool, our school provides a friendly, hard working and stimulating environment where children, their parents and members of the community feel welcome and valued. This ethos combined with a wide ranging curriculum delivered by dedicated staff helps the children develop into confident individuals and successful learners.
There are two classes in the school; P1-3 and P4-7 with a total roll at present of 21 pupils. There are 2 full-time class teachers: the Acting Head currently taking the P4-7 class and the P1-3 class teacher. We also have an Art specialist who comes one morning per week and a part time school secretary. The school cook prepares meals in the school kitchen, daily.
The P4-7 children attend a five day residential summer trip every second year, and the P6 and 7 pupils have sailing lessons in the summer.
The P4-7 class have a block of swimming lessons every year.
All the children participate in the annual Christmas Pantomime, the annual Charity Concert and the annual end-of-year art/craft show.
The school makes regular use of the Community Mini-bus for trips/educational visits etc.
