Scoraig School aims to provide a happy and safe environment where children are encouraged to take an active role in their learning. The children will have access to all areas of the curriculum as prescribed by the Scottish Government.
Scoraig School is a non-denominational, health promoting school which provides equal opportunities for all pupils regardless of race, gender, class or ability and promotes understanding and respect for other people's cultural identity and beliefs. Pupils are encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility for their locality and to respect the world in general.
Education is considered to be a partnership between home and school and so parents are invited to participate in various aspects of school life. The school is an integral part of life on Scoraig, and the school makes a positive social and environmental contribution to life here.
The Scoraig Vision: Our school is a friendly, happy, bright, active school where everyone is welcome and involved. We enjoy our rich natural surroundings and take care of them as well as being open and understanding to the community and the wider world. Through a curriculum that provides structure, support and direction, we can become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to our society. We will prepare pupils for lifelong learning.
