Four of The Highland Council’s Regional Music Groups, with over 150 musicians from Highland schools provide a weekend of music and entertainment for both public and resort residents in Aviemore.
The weekend will offer a diverse variety of music-making in both formal and informal settings.
‘snas (ceilidh band) and Highland Youth Big Band (HYBB) begin the weekend with a dance & Ceilidh on Friday 30th.
Saturday 1st December is not only a busy day for Santa…Highland Youth Big Band offer an informal public performance that afternoon and Highland Youth String Orchestra & Highland Schools Wind Band will host their winter concert in the resort’s theatre that evening.
‘snas offer an informal performance on Sunday, preceding a community event from 2-3pm which will involve all the young performers who will also be joined by local schools in a Christmas celebration.
