Highland Libraries offers a wide variety of materials to help learners of English:
- Language dictionaries – please ask at your local library for details
- Learning English courses on CD or Cassette - please click on the link 'Learning English Materials' in External Links. The BBC Learning English website is also a good resource
- Learn Together Sacks – a transparent bag containing two books for an adult and child to share - currently available in larger libraries
Materials in other languages:
Adult Fiction books – available in Polish, Russian, French, Spanish, Czech, Latvian and Lithuanian - these are kept at Inverness Library, but can be sent to any Highland Library. The selection is changed regularly. Please see our online catalogue for a list of current titles.
Children’s books - available in various libraries. Please ask at your local library for further information
Newspapers and magazines - visit Inverness Library for a selection of Polish newspapers and magazines, for example, Polish Express.
