Tourism Seminar 2008

The Highland Year of Culture in 2007 helped showcase the Highlands as a place to visit and contributed to tourism in the area but further work is required to ensure a longer term legacy from this work. The 2008 Highland Council Tourism Seminar aimed to assist this, beginning by setting the scene at both a national and a Highland level before using examples to show what events can contribute. A particular theme of relevance to tourism businesses will be how they can maximise the benefits they themselves derive from events in their locality.

A copy of the final programme can be downloaded from the current documents section. Four presentations from the speakers are available in the current documents section and others will be added shortly.
