The North Highland Archive was established in 1995 to provide an archive service for the Caithness area.
As a branch of The Highland Council Archive Service, it is responsible for locating, preserving and making locally accessible documents and other records relating to the history of Caithness.
Services available
The public searchroom based in Wick Library is open to all members of the public free of charge. Staff are always on hand to advise. We have limited public accommodation so please contact us prior to your visit if you can
There is currently no disabled access to the archive although there is access to the library. Archives can be taken to the library on request providing there are two members of staff on duty in the Archive
