The Great Glen Way is Scotland's latest formal long distance walking route.
The magnificent 79 mile/127km waymarked route stretches from Fort William in the west to Inverness in the east. The geological fault of the Great Glen is the home of some of Scotland's most spectacular and atmospheric scenery.

The Great Glen Ways follow the Great Glen - i.e. the Great Glen Way Long Distance Walking Route, the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Mountain Bike Trails.
The Great Glen Ways Communication Strategy Implementation Project has been set up to provide a common approach to information and interpretation and to create a single identity for the three Great Glen Ways.

Through the Great Glen Way Event Guidelines, a well maintained series of facilities has been established that ensures the balance between communities, businesses and participants and outdoor users is being achieved with successful results.
