The Great Glen Way

The Great Glen Way is Scotland's latest formal long distance walking route.

The magnificent 75 mile/117km way-marked route stretches from Fort William in the west to Inverness in the east. The geological fault of the Great Glen is the home of some of Scotland's most spectacular and atmospheric scenery.

We have produced  programmes of our events which will run from February to December 2008. These are available here and in libraries and service points throughout the Highlands.

The Great Glen Ways

The Great Glen Ways follow the Great Glen ie-The Great Glen Way Long Distance Walking Route, the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Mountain Bike Trails.

The Great Glen Ways Communication Strategy Implementation Project has been set up to provide a common approach to information and interpretation and to create a single identity for the three Great Glen Ways.
