Inverness Town House, one of the City’s most impressive and historic buildings can now be visited on one of a number of guided tours. Built between 1878 and 1882 the Town House includes many artworks and historic features and in September 1921 was the scene of an historic meeting of the British Cabinet – the only cabinet meeting of the British Government ever held outside London.
Tours run every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at 2.30pm from June until September. The Town House is a working building and on some occasions access to some rooms may be restricted but tour times have been planned to maximise the area that can be visited.
