Scotland is divided into registration districts which mirror the Local Authority boundaries.The Registration District of Highland is administered from the main office in the Highland Archive and Registration Centre, Bught Road, Inverness. Registration staff provide a professional, efficient and sympathetic service, resulting in the accurate recording and preservation of all events of birth, death, marriage and civil partnership.

Payment for Registration Services:
The preferred method of payment, when customers call at the registration office in person, is payment by card, but in some circumstances cash or cheques will be accepted.
Postal applications should be accompanied by a cheque or postal order, made payable to Highland Council.
