Fort William Registration Office
With pleasant views towards Loch Linnhe, the Ceremony Room provides seating for up to 54 people in total. The room, which is available for viewing by arrangement, is at the front of the building, on the ground floor and is accessible for wheelchairs. There are silk and foliage decorations, but you are welcome to bring your own floral arrangements.
There is parking at the rear of the Office for one car, while extra parking is available in the College grounds.
Photographs and Video recordings are permitted at the discretion of the Registrar and you are advised to discuss these arrangements beforehand.
Background music is provided, or you may provide music of your own choice, in consultation with the Registrar.
Other Approved Venues in and around Fort William
You may wish to have your ceremony in a hotel or other venue of your choice, provided it has been approved by the local authority for that purpose. Further information regarding approved premises is available from the Registrar and a full st of Approved Venues in Highland can be found in the 'Related Information' section opposite.
If your preferred venue has not been approved for civil ceremonies you should contact the Registrar for further advice.
Please note
Prior to the ceremony the parties are required to verify all details to be recorded on the schedule which will be signed during the ceremony, and to discuss the form of ceremony used. A separate appointment is required for this, at a time to be mutually agreed.
The Registrar will be happy to discuss any aspects relating to your civil ceremony.
