There is good news to report for the Mallaig area with the imminent completion of much needed affordable housing. Lochaber Housing Association’s development at Coteachan Hill will provide 16 houses, comprising 8 two bedroom houses (including 2 single storey houses suitable for wheelchair access), 7 three bedroom houses and 1 five bedroom house.

These homes will be available for affordable rent and it is anticipated that the houses will be completed by April 2008. This scheme has been made possible through land and funding made available by the Highland Council together with additional funding from Communities Scotland.
