Anti-social behaviour team

A specialist team has been set up to carry out investigations into cases of anti social behaviour.

The team will:

  • Investigate and progress anti social behaviour cases efficiently, including a legal response where appropriate.
  • Keep complainants informed.
  • Liaise with other agencies as required (e.g. Northern Constabulary, Victim Support).
  • Monitor trends of anti social behaviour and responses.
  • Link with other relevant bodies such as Youth Action Teams to improve joint working in relation to anti social behaviour.
  • Develop and implement measures such as Acceptable Behaviour Contracts with relevant partners.

Cases for investigation will normally be referred to the Team by the local Area Antisocial Behaviour Partnership Groups.

Cases of antisocial behaviour can be brought to the attention of these local groups either via your local Housing and Property office or the Police.  If you are the tenant of a housing association, you can also bring any cases to the attention of your landlord.
