Easter Ross Community Partnership Meeting

The Easter Ross Community Partnership will hold its next full meeting in public on Wednesday 7th June 2017 at 5:30 pm in the Dining room at Alness Academy, Dalmore Road, Alness, IV17 0UY.

The first two meetings were held in Invergordon and then in Tain; this one sees the Partnership move to a different location and time.

Community Partnership Chair, Mark Loynd of the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, said,

“The partnership made a commitment from the start to spread its meetings across all parts of the area and meet at a variety of times.  This is intended to provide opportunities for as many people to participate as possible.”

At the last meeting in April there was a focus on engagement with communities and how best to include them in planning for improved outcomes and ultimately helping to shape local services.

The meeting in Alness will develop these themes and discuss the actions needed over the coming months.

There will also be a presentation made by the Highland Council Welfare Support Team who provide a full range of welfare advice including benefits, debt, housing and employment rights.

Mark Loynd added,

“The Partnership is looking forward to hearing this presentation.  We are all committed to addressing inequalities and this will be an opportunity for the whole meeting – agencies and members of the public – to contribute towards future welfare advice provision.”

Notes from previous meetings will shortly be available on the Community Partnership website, at the following link http://www.highlandcpp.org.uk/east-ross-community-partnership.html
