Highlands of Scotland Film Commission iPad app showcased at Edinburgh International Film Festival

The Highlands of Scotland Film Commission is showcasing its newly approved iPad app at the “Moving Image: Scotland” event at the Edinburgh International Festival this week (28 June).

Trish Shorthouse, Highland Council’s Film Development Officer was in Edinburgh to promote the new app which features an interview with a director of "Brave", the animated Disney/Pixar feature film inspired by Highland locations which is premiering at the festival.

The app was developed by a Forres-based company “Open Brolly” that works with film offices across Europe and is at the cutting edge of iPad development. The app can be downloaded free through http://scotfilm.org/app/

Film companies are invited to experience the natural attraction of the Scottish Highlands on their iPad by downloading the app which gives access to everything needed to know about filming in the Scottish Highlands including: stunning locations, permissions; cast, crew and facilities.
