Public meeting for road closures in South Loch Ness area

The closures are required for road mitigation works for the Corrigarth Wind Farm developments at Loch Tarff and also for tree felling at Sockich’s Bends which is required to implement the Council’s South Loch Ness Road Improvement Strategy.

The planned closures are for the:

  • B862 Loch Tarff road with a planned start of 21 April for a 6 week closure (Monday to Friday) along the length of Loch Tarff; and
  • B851 Sockich’s Bends with a planned start of 28 April for a 10 week closure (Monday to Saturday) just south of Farr and the Garbole Rd junction.

The closures are planned from 7am to 7pm with half hour openings for school opening and closing times.  Emergency access will be maintained during the works. Local diversions will be in place for cars and light vehicles for Sockich’s Bends.  Advance signage will be in place.

Council staff, developers, contractors and Forestry Commission Scotland have been invited to the public meeting.  The meeting will be chaired by The Highland Council.
