Revamp for Raining Stairs complete

after work

Significant improvements have been carried out to the Raining Stairs in Inverness.

The project has seen some major work in order to carry out reinstatement of drainage channels, repairs to steps and their under pinning, the painting of railings, graffiti removal, power washing and weed removal.

Community Services managed to reinstate a number of cobbled areas and complete the full programme of works to ensure the area was brought up to a reasonable standard with the limited funds available.  On-going maintenance will now be easier as the area is free from detritus and debris.

Central Ward Discretionary Fund contributed £6,500 towards the costs.
