Consent for Port of Ardersier renewable energy ‘super-hub’ welcomed by Highland Council

The Highland Council has welcomed the Port of Ardersier announcement that it has secured the full backing of the Scottish Government for plans to turn the former oil fabrication yard on the Moray Firth into a manufacturing ‘super-hub’ for offshore wind.

Leader of The Highland Council, Councillor Drew Hendry said: “Highland Council is committed to helping to create high quality jobs in our region and our Programme for the Council specifically focusses on assets such as Ardersier.

“This news is something that we all welcome and we are delighted to have been part of the effort to get to this point. We will continue to work hard to support job creation at this economically important site.”
