Acting head teacher appointed

The Highland Council has appointed Mrs Annie MacPhee as Acting Head Teacher at Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis. Mrs MacPhee, a fluent Gaelic speaker from Lewis, has been seconded from her current post as Support for Learning Teacher at Glenurquhart and Beauly Primaries.  

Her secondment is for the current academic year until June 2015. In the meantime, the Council will be advertising for a permanent, fluent Gaelic speaking Head Teacher.    

Mrs MacPhee has extensive experience of teaching in both Gaelic and English Medium in the Western Isles and Highland Council areas and was formerly the Acting Head Teacher of Glenurquhart Primary School. She takes up post as Acting Head Teacher at Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis after the October holidays on Monday 27 October (in-service day). Highland schools re-open to pupils on Tuesday 28 October.
