Young people in Lochaber to put their questions to Ward Forum

A special Youth Ward Forum featuring young people from Lochaber will take place in Caol Community Centre on Tuesday (2 December).

Youth workers have been working with young people in the area for a number of weeks to compile a large number of questions covering a wide range of topics including public transport, mental health, policing and activities for young people. The Highland Youth Convener will be joining some of the young people at the Forum to present the questions to the range of agencies who will be attending on the night.

If there is not enough time to get through all the questions, a written response will be sent to the person asking the question in the days following the Forum.

The Highland Council’s Area Leader, Councillor Thomas MacLennan said: “This is one of the most engaging events we hold where young people in Lochaber come forward and get to ask their questions directly to a range of public agencies and other providers.  We’re also delighted to welcome Shaun Finlayson as our Youth Convener who so ably represents the views of young people in Highland.”

The Forum takes place on Tuesday evening in Caol Community Centre from 6.30pm – 8.30pm and anyone is welcome to attend.
