Police appeal for information following report of fire at a play park in Anderson Street, Inverness

At about 8.30pm on Sunday 18 January 2015, a fire occurred at the play park on Anderson Street, Inverness, where extensive damage was caused to a large climbing slide wooden tower.  This equipment had only been installed a few months ago.  The damage has been estimated to be in the region of £20,000.

Police are carrying out an investigation into the fire which is currently being treated as suspicious.

House to house enquiries are being carried out in the area and Police Scotland would additionally urge anyone who has any information about this incident, or who saw any persons in the area of the play park around the time of the fire, to contact them on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://www.crimestoppers-uk.org/.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
