What’s best for West  - Final call for applications

If you have an idea that you think will benefit Inverness West and need £100 - £1500 to put it into action then “Your Ward, Your Cash – What’s best for West” is your chance get the support you need. Groups in Inverness West have been urged to come forwards with ideas and projects for a community fund.

The deadline for applications is Friday 3rd June

In total £11,000 is available for grants up to £1500. Any local community, voluntary or non-profit group can apply; projects can be large or small the only criteria is that projects should aim to improve the local community.

Eligible groups will be invited to present their idea at a community event on 25th of June. Residents of Inverness West Ward are invited to come along to the event to hear about the projects and vote for the projects they think should be funded.

Councillor Graham Ross, who is a member of the Inverness West Organising group said: “Whether you want to organise a community event, a healthy living project, local sports event or activity day for elderly residents, groups just need to complete a simple two-page application.

“I am really looking forward to the community event which I am sure will be a great showcase of the fantastic work all of the community groups do in the area.

“I would encourage all groups to consider putting in an application. The application process is easy and there is a range of support available.”
