The Home from Home Respite Care Scheme, run by Highland Council's Social Work Service, provides family-based short breaks (respite care) to adults.
The Home from Home Scheme is one of a number of similar Adult Placement Schemes operating throughout Scotland and beyond.
The support offered is provided by paid Carers on a short break (respite) basis and is based in the Adult Placement Carer's own home - a home from home.
The philosophy of the Home from Home Scheme is that Carers will respect the dignity, choice, independence and social life of the people they care for.
