In the first place a worker from the Social Work Service will talk with you (the person or their carer) to find out what help you need with all aspects of daily living - this is called an assessment.
When the assessment indicate that you are eligible for respite care the worker will discuss with you how this need might be met. If you are interested in using this Scheme the worker will contact the Scheme Co-ordinator.
Availability details of suitable placements will be shared with you, and if you indicate that one appears right, the worker will collect more information about what is important to you when using respite care.
